Only 3 hours by TGV from Paris and directly connected to over 100 destinations via its international airport, Marseille has always inspired the greatest filmmakers thanks to its spectacular landscapes and unique light. Marseille hosts each year about 1400 shooting days which represents almost 500 shootings (feature films, short films, TV series, commercials, documentaries...)

The Marseille Film Commission was set up by the City of Marseille to foster the development of shootings. It provides personalised support to productions at each step of the project:

• welcoming, informing and supporting film crews,
• assistance in location scouting,
• coordinating requests and providing filming permits for public areas,
• connecting crews with the various local resources (skilled technicians, specialized service providers, private managers and owners...)

The Marseille Film Commission is also in charge of promoting Marseille as a filming location at top trade shows as well as organising and hosting professional events.

The Film commission Normandie Images is a free facilitation service provided to French and foreign film and audiovisual production
companies who wish to shoot all or part of their film in the region.
We offer the following logistical services and advantages to
production crews :
• Access to databases highlighting the sites and skills available in Normandy : a directory of technical and other useful service providers located in the region, and an index of cinema and audiovisual technicians and actors who are based here.
• Preliminary location scouting,
• Coordination of communication with local authorities,
• Advice on recruiting local cinema and audiovisual technicians,
• Help organizing auditions, Access to office space for pre-production purposes.
